Coconino County Elections

Project Type

Print Design + Social Media Campaign

Designing for Coconino County Elections involved creating neutral, effective, and inclusive materials to encourage voter turnout. The campaign focused on educating, building trust, and empowering residents, especially first time and student voters, to participate in the 2024 general election.

Designing for a Stronger Community

Overview

Coconino County Elections ran a student sticker contest to boost civic engagement and invited NAU students to submit original "I Voted" sticker designs. After my winning design was chosen, I was invited to extend the campaign by creating outreach visuals for social media. These designs supported efforts to increase voter turnout and education ahead of the 2024 election.

and Inclusive

Challenges & Solutions

Designing for the county required a neutral approach, avoiding any political bias. This meant steering clear of traditional red and blue, which are associated with political parties. We focused on using Coconino County's official colors to create a design that would remain unbiased and nonpartisan.

Our team created educational materials that provided important voting information, guided people on where to vote, and addressed political misinformation. The designs also served as reminders for the public to vote, with specific post s targeted at NAU students to encourage them to participate in the election.
