A Digital Companion for Live Events

Overview

The goal of the Orion app was to enhance the experience for theatergoers by streamlining all aspects of their visit, from ticket management to navigation within the venue. With a user-friendly design, the app ensures that attendees can focus on enjoying the event, while the app takes care of the logistics.

Balancing Brand, Function, and Flow

Challenges & Solutions

A major design challenge was ensuring that the app’s branding and interface would be intuitive, unique, and in line with the theater's diverse range of performances. I decided on a minimalist approach with a simple color palette, using neutral tones complemented by a striking pop of red. This design choice keeps the focus on the event content and imagery.  

The app was designed to provide easy access to event listings, ticket management, merchandise shopping, and an interactive map of the theater. These features work together to ensure that users can easily plan their visit and fully enjoy their experience at Orion!
